Ana Amália Moreira de Sá

Poetess. Her full name was Ana Amália Borges Carneiro Barreto e Couto Moreira de Sá, and according to her, she decided to write poetry because she dedicated herself to reading great poets from a very young age and to follow the example of her father, grandfather, and cousins, all of whom wrote verse. She collaborated in Periódico dos Pobres, from Porto, under the pseudonym Rosa Encarnada. She also sometimes signed her poems simply with the name Ana de Sá.
