António Manuel Afonso

Painter and poet. A bank employee by profession, he was a dramaturgy assistant in Lisbon, where he founded the theater group and cultural section of Caixa Geral de Depósitos (1972). He has exhibited regularly since 1974, in the country and abroad, and is represented in several collections. His poetry collection, Margens do Silêncio e do Olhar, was also illustrated by him.
