Carlos Trajano da Costa

Journalist. He completed his secondary education in New Goa, where he died at just twenty years of age, after having stayed in Bombay. He contributed to the news newspaper O Correio da Índia and the Catholic weekly Verdade, both from New Goa, as well as the Valmiky Almanac (named after the legendary Sanskrit poet presumed to be the author of the Ramayana), a publication edited by Júlio César de Sousa e Noronha that secured contributions from the finest literary figures of that city at the time. It had only one edition, in 1885. He published in Bombay, in 1887, the book Francisco Luís Gomes: Notícia Biográfica e Retrato desse Eminente Publicista Índio.
