Christopher Morley, born in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, on May 5, 1890, was a prolific American journalist, novelist, poet, and critic. A graduate of Haverford College, he began his career in journalism, working for several publications, including the "New York Evening Post". Morley gained popularity with his lighthearted and witty novels, such as "Parnassus on Wheels" (1917) and "The Haunted Bookshop" (1919), which celebrated a love for books and bookstores. He is also credited with inventing the popular board game "Clue" (known as "Cluedo" outside of North America). Morley was a fervent advocate for literature and reading, and his works reflect his humor, intelligence, and deep appreciation for culture. He passed away in 1957.
