Edmundo Cardoso

Poet and teacher. He belongs to one of the last generations of Indo-Portuguese poets. He studied at the Colégio Mater Dei in Saligão, entering the University of Nagpur, India, in 1933, where he earned a degree in Arts. In 1942 and 1943 he taught the Portuguese language at the Colégio Mater Dei, after which he took up residence in Nairobi, Kenya, where in 1967 he was still pursuing his teaching activities, but now teaching English. Between 1931 and 1933 he contributed to Diário da Tarde in Nova Goa.
