Ernesto Viana

Poet and journalist. As a proper native of Porto, he was a commercial employee and eventually worked for himself in the commission and representation business, dedicating his free time to literary activity and drawing. He was a dandy of his time, an enthusiastic admirer of Camilo. A keen hunter, he wrote in various newspapers, but above all in the book A Caça, many articles, anecdotes, and episodes themed around that sport. He collaborated in several newspapers with prose articles and poetry. Beset by acute crises of neurasthenia, he committed suicide with a revolver shot.
