Courtly poet of the court of King D. Afonso V. In traditional meter and a nearly Gil Vicente tone, we find in Garcia de Resende's Cancioneiro Geral two original compositions by this poet: seven pieces of advice on «how ladies are to be served» and a poem to Violante de Meira. The second is a description of a dream in which he believes he possesses a lady who eludes him at the end of the dream. Both compositions are of a coarsely misogynistic nature, very common in courtly poetry.
