João Gomes de Campos Copeto

Poet. He attended high school in Fronteira – founding a small typed newspaper with other colleagues, O Cometa – and completed the Higher Course in Public Relations in Lisbon. He lived for some time in Angola, where he went for professional reasons in 1967. His scattered contributions of poetry, short stories, chronicles, and reports appear in newspapers and magazines in Portugal, Angola, and Brazil, such as A Rebeca (Portalegre), Linhas de Elvas, Revista Cultural (Lisboa), O Lobito (Lobito), A Província de Angola (Luanda), Convivium (Benguela), etc. In Africa, he signed his work João G. Coppeto. His poems are included in the 4-volume Antologia Poética (1970–1971) by Filipe Neiva.
