Bio
Nephew of Eugénio de Castro, pre-modernist author of À Sombra dos Cedros (1912), he was considered by Afonso Duarte the best poet of his generation. Pedro da Silveira, in «Uns simples apontamentos - I», in Vértice, nº. 228, September 1962, calls him a free verse precursor of Fernando Pessoa.
