Maria Emília Martins

She completed her primary education in her hometown. In 1974 she took up residence in Felgueiras. She has dedicated herself to poetry since 1978. She has published poems in the weeklies Jornal da Lixa, Jornal de Felgueiras, and O Sovela, among others. She is represented in the poetry collections I Colectânea de Poetas Figueirenses and Com Verso Ando, as well as in the annual collections of the Vale do Sousa Encontr'Artes (since 1992) and AJAVAS (Associação de Escritores, Jornalistas e Artistas do Vale do Sousa). She has participated in poetry recitals and radio programs.
