Nascimento Mendonça

Poet, for some the greatest name in Portuguese-language Indian literature. He was influenced by Symbolism, specifically by Eugénio de Castro, but the theme of his verses is constantly inspired by Indian cosmogonies, customs, traditions, and locations. He used the pseudonym Nitipal in his contributions to A Luz do Oriente and other Goan magazines.
