Rodrigo Eanes Redondo

He belongs to a notable family of poets, the Velhos, to which Paio Velho and Paio Soares de Taveirós also belong. He lived during the reign of Afonso III. He left a cantiga de maldizer against the gambler Soeiro Fernandes and eight cantigas de amor, including "De-lo dia, ai, amiga...", which has the feature, rare in its time, of being in narrative form.
