The Tale of an old father fighter
The tale of an old father fighter
Son, I see you still haven't forgiven me
I kept you waiting for years
To return on a cold winter night
So I see that you've aged
Ceased to be that messy child
Daddy left without giving an explanation
I said it was a man's duty to honor his nation
I traded the tranquility of our farm for the battlefield
I don't know if I will be able to have the same affection
I had to kill many people
After what I saw, after what I saw
I feel like I've become less human
So you sent me letters at the camp
Somehow I heard your prayers
I thought * What is my son doing now *
And our fishing times came to mind
When I told you some jokes
How will I come home that way?
If I became a body stacking machine
If emptiness is all I feel
I remember I once told you that hatred is a man's worst enemy
That certain people are slaves to themselves
Son, I committed all possible sins
And I feel that God cannot forgive me
I remember, you shared your dreams
You said that one day you would paint the Berlin wall
You said you were going to draw the peace symbol on a
Universal language
But all this old fighter can do
Its telling the worst nightmares
Son, I see you still haven't forgiven me
I kept you waiting for years
To return on a cold winter night
So I see that you've aged
Ceased to be that messy child
Daddy left without giving an explanation
I said it was a man's duty to honor his nation
I traded the tranquility of our farm for the battlefield
I don't know if I will be able to have the same affection
I had to kill many people
After what I saw, after what I saw
I feel like I've become less human
So you sent me letters at the camp
Somehow I heard your prayers
I thought * What is my son doing now *
And our fishing times came to mind
When I told you some jokes
How will I come home that way?
If I became a body stacking machine
If emptiness is all I feel
I remember I once told you that hatred is a man's worst enemy
That certain people are slaves to themselves
Son, I committed all possible sins
And I feel that God cannot forgive me
I remember, you shared your dreams
You said that one day you would paint the Berlin wall
You said you were going to draw the peace symbol on a

But all this old fighter can do
Its telling the worst nightmares
