Hope and Optimism

I have good hope that there is something after death.

Hope,' he says, 'cherishes the soul of him who lives justice and holiness, and is the nurse of his age and the companion of his journey; hope which is mightiest to sway the restless soul of man.

The power of hoping through everything, the knowledge that the soul survives its adventures, that great inspiration comes to the middle-aged. God has kept that good wine until now.

You have to have a dream so you can get up in the morning.

Throw your dream into space like a kite, and you do not know what it will bring back, a new life, a new friend, a new love, or a new country.

Dreams come true; without that possibility, nature would not incite us to have them.

Defeat is simply a signal to press onward.

Youth lives on hope, old age on remembrance.

In early youth, as we contemplate our coming life, we are like children in a theater before the curtain is raised, sitting there in high spirits and eagerly waiting for the play to begin.

All human wisdom is summed up in these two words— Wait and Hope .

And often enough our faith beforehand in an uncertified result is the only thing that makes the result come true .

When we have arrived at the question, the answer is already near.

A leader is a dealer in hope.

For happiness one needs security, but joy can spring like a flower even from the cliffs of despair.

I claim to be no more than an average man with below average capabilities. I have not the shadow of a doubt that any man or woman can achieve what I have if he or she would put forth the same effort and cultivate the same hope and faith.

Love conquers all things; let us too surrender to Love.

Never give up, for that is just the place and time that the tide will turn.
