Personification
From Latin personificare: to give a face to. Distinguished from apostrophe (which addresses) and allegory (which narrativises). Also called prosopopoeia.
Definition
Attributing human qualities, actions, or emotions to non-human entities — animals, objects, or abstract concepts.
Example
