PETAL RELEASED
Petal Released
Sitting down on a bench
Under the shade of old willow trees
Near the river bank
I noticed a beautiful daisy in the weeds
The place we first kissed and met
Is too hard to forget
Blackbirds flying low
I felt a light and warm brise blow
The thoughts of you
Made my heart ache
For you were not with me in this shade
Two streams of tears ran down my cheeks
When I closed my eyes and weeped
The daisy flower, seemingly, understood me
had a petal released as it shook in the brise
