Anna Elisabeth de Brancovan, Countess Mathieu de Noailles, better known as Anna de Noailles, was a prominent Franco-Romanian writer and poet. Born in 1876, her poetic work, which includes "Le Coeur innombrable" and "L'Hôte", celebrated life, love, nature, and sensuality with a rich and evocative language. She received numerous awards and honors, being the first woman to be awarded by the French Academy. Her vibrant personality and her engagement with the cultural life of her time made her a striking figure in French literature. She passed away in 1933.
