Hans Magnus Enzensberger was born in Kaufbeuren, Germany. He was one of the most important and multifaceted intellectuals in post-war Germany. His poetic work is marked by clarity, formal rigor, and a critical perspective on contemporary society. In addition to poetry, Enzensberger distinguished himself as an essayist, producing penetrating texts on politics, culture, and media. He also worked as an editor, founding the influential magazine "Kursbuch". His work is translated into several languages, and his influence extends across several generations of writers and thinkers. Enzensberger passed away in 2022.
