Bio
Jon Fosse was born on September 29, 1959, in Haugesund, Norway. He began publishing in 1983 and quickly established himself as a prominent voice in Norwegian literature. His literary output includes novels, short stories, poetry, and especially plays. Fosse's plays, such as 'Nobody Will Come' and 'Death is in the Roses' (Morte naothesis is a mistranslation, the actual title is 'Dødsvariasjonar' which translates to Death Variations, but commonly translated as Death is in the Roses), are staged worldwide and acclaimed for their originality and psychological depth. He is known for his unique style, which often challenges traditional narrative conventions, creating atmospheres of suspense and introspection.
